A New Season, A New Garden!

With the weather finally starting to creep up to higher temps around here in Colorado, I'm beginning to ramp up on planning my garden! Yay! My favorite time of the year!

Last year was my first year at growing my own garden, and with that experience, I've learned a TON of what to do, what not to do, and how I can do things differently this year to make it even better than last year. I've learned how big certain plants get and how they tend to grow. I've learned how to properly prune and maintain plants like tomatoes and peppers. And, there are new things that I want to try this year, particularly the whole "vertical gardening" concept. This is supposed to work great for people with smaller growing spaces, and while I live on 1/3 of an acre, I don't have very much space allotted for growing my garden. Well, not as much as I would want, anyway.

Just as a jumping off point, here's a picture of what my garden looks like today....

I literally went out and took this picture right before I wrote this post. Fortunately, you can actually see the space today since all the snow has finally melted off for the time being. We've been hit like crazy, one storm right after another, so it's been covered in snow all winter. It definitely doesn't look like much right now, but I plan on doing some magical transformations on this little piece of heaven to make it shine again!

Stay tuned!....
